- Embracing Slow Making | Chapter IV - Woodwork
Woodwork is the theme that we chose to address in the Chapter IV of the "Embracing Slow Making" series. This art deals with solid wood in its natural state through a fine and manual process. It provides an introspective experience, done in a delicate and patient way, resulting in exclusive and authentic pieces. |
Ricardo Jerónimo is our invited artist. He created his Rival practice after the birth of his first child. As he refers it was a time of reflection that pushed him to revive his childhood experiences with his grandfather and father, who created their own toys for the family’s child. Spoons were the first pieces he created, which for him, as a product designer, are a perfect object, where form and function come together in an object that transcends cultures and generations. |

In this chapter, we can assure that 100% of synthetic fibers are recycled, meaning that we’ve been able to increase the use of recycled materials up to around 30%. |
